We know the problem and we have the solution but we don’t have the collective will. We expect someone else to feel the impacts of this problem and someone else to solve it, with zero compromise or sacrifice to our modern lifestyle. Unfortunately, since our planet is a closed system (or Spaceship, if you will : ) everyone will be impacted.

People will generally act in a manner consistent with how they are incentivized to act by their government. Currently, we are incentivized to derive our energy from the burning of fossil fuels with governments subsidizing fossil fuel companies to the tune of $5 trillion per year (according to the IMF). Let that sink in, we are sponsoring the acceleration of climate change with an enormous amount of money that could be invested in the deployment of renewable energy and provision of aid for displaced communities.

We aim to collect footage that evokes a cognitive shift in the prioritization of the prosperity of our spaceship, inspiring people to consider the environmental impact of every decision they make, including where they live, how they source and consume energy and for whom they vote.
